Job Details
- Location: Aurora
- Type: Contract-to-hire
- Pay Rate: $17.00/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Mitsubishi Sheet Laser, Trumpf 2510 Laser, Trumpf Tube Laser, and Trumpf CNC Combo machines
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate production
- Use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures to verify product specifications
- Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning tables and replacing lenses, nozzles, and ceramics
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issues
- Handle material setup and understand material types (cold rolled steel, aluminum, stainless steel)
- Maintain lubrication and perform daily preventative maintenance checks
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of laser dust and hazardous materials
- Assist with basic CNC programming and understand G-code
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all quality, environmental, and safety policies
- Support continuous improvement and emergency preparedness initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with CNC lasers and/or punch machines (Trumpf preferred)
- Blueprint reading and measuring instrument experience
- Basic computer skills (Windows)
- Knowledge of CNC programming and troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Experience with Trumpf machines and controls
- Basic knowledge of electrical components and schematics
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
