Job Details
- Location: Bensenville, Illinois
- Type: Contract-to-hire
- Pay Range: $20.75/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Perform shipping, receiving, returns, and general warehouse operations.
- Load and unload materials in shipping and receiving areas.
- Pick, pack, and verify orders to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
- Operate RF scanners and update inventory systems.
- Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Label, stage, and prepare products for shipment.
- Read and interpret work orders, shipping orders, and instructions.
- Maintain productivity standards and follow company procedures.
- Support database updates to track product movement and inventory.
- Follow all safety, quality, and production guidelines.
- Perform housekeeping and assist other departments as needed.
Skills & Experience
- 1–2 years of warehouse or related experience preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with RF scanners.
- Ability to read and follow instructions from scanners or computers.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified forklift operator.
- Completion of Powered Industrial Truck Safety Certification.
- Experience with inventory control in a distribution environment.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills.
Work Environment
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (overtime as needed).
- Fast-paced warehouse environment with productivity expectations.
- Requires use of warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet trucks.
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Frequent standing, bending, crouching, and repetitive movements required.
- Must follow all safety procedures and maintain a safety-first environment.
