Job Details
- Location: Romeoville
- Type: Contract-to-hire
- Pay Range: $19.00 – $21.00/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cherry picker forklift (order picker) to accurately retrieve and move materials from racking systems.
- Perform put-away, Picking and replenishment of products following warehouse procedures.
- Ensure all orders are picked accurately and efficiently according to pick tickets or RF scanner instructions.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections to ensure forklifts are operating safely.
- Assist with loading and unloading trailers when needed.
- Communicate any product shortages, damages, or location discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
- Support other warehouse departments as needed to meet business demands.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to achieve daily operational goals.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic English language proficiency preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating a cherry picker forklift (order picker) in a warehouse or distribution environment required.
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain through Summit Staffing).
- Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
Work Environment
- Positions available on 1st, 2nd, 3rd  and Weekend shifts.
