Job Details
- Location: Naperville Areas
- Type: Contract-to-hire
- Pay Range: $16.00 – $17.00/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Review the delivery manifest to identify and locate assigned furniture pieces.
- Arrange furniture in the correct line or staging area for inspection.
- Unbox, unwrap, and inspect furniture items for damage or defects.
- Prepare items for delivery by removing packaging materials and organizing components.
- Handle large and heavy boxes safely, using team lifting when needed.
- Maintain clean work areas, free of debris and packaging waste.
- Report any missing, damaged, or incorrect items to the supervisor.
- Follow all safety guidelines and use proper equipment (gloves, pallet jacks, etc.).
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Support team objectives and complete related tasks as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Experience
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and organized.
- Awareness of training and communication resources relevant to the position.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Standing and walking for long periods required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous warehouse or furniture-handling experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items up to 50 lbs. safely with assistance.
- Ability to stand, bend, and walk throughout the shift.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet daily goals.
- Willingness to cross-train and assist in other warehouse areas as needed.
Work Environment
- Positions available on 1st, 2nd and Weekend shifts.
