Job Details
- Location: Des Plaines, IL
- Type: Temp-to-hire
- Pay Range: $17.00 base pay (Determined after interview)
Key Responsibilities
- Unload, inspect, and store incoming shipments.
- Package, label, and prepare outgoing shipments with proper documentation.
- Track inventory and update records.
- Maintain accurate logs of shipments and related data.
- Move materials safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to coordinate shipments.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Meet daily production goals and deadlines with your team
- Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
Skills & Experience
- Shipping and Receiving: 1 year (Required)
- Warehouse: 1 year (Required)
- Interview: 30min (Required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience.
- Prior training in warehouse safety and operations.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and inventory management.
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work.
- Physical stamina to lift packages and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and using shipping software.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with suppliers, carriers, and team members.
- Problem-solving ability to address issues with shipments or inventory.
Work Environment
- Modern distribution facility focused on safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
- Expect to stand, walk, bend, and lift regularly during your shift.
- Some areas may experience moderate temperature variations depending on the season.
- Weekend shift opportunities available.
