Job Details
- Location: Batavia, IL
- Type: Full- Time
- Pay Range: $20.00/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, and arc welding on metal structures, equipment, and components.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work orders to determine welding requirements.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
- Perform adjustments and repairs as needed to maintain product quality.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Clean, maintain, and properly care for welding equipment and tools.
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety hazards to the supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on time.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding job progress and issues.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with company policies.
- Support continuous improvement and production efficiency initiatives.
- Properly manage and handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including recycling.
- Participate in emergency preparedness and safety compliance initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of welding experience required.
- Welding certification or completion of a welding training program preferred.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
