In 1986, Summit Staffing Founder & CEO Fiorella Auriemma opened a single office with a core philosophy. Put good people into good jobs, and carry out every step of that process with a high level of excellence.
Four decades later, that idea still runs through the heart of our business.
The staffing industry has reinvented itself year over year since those humble beginnings. Recessions came. Labor markets tightened, loosened, and tightened again. Entire categories of work changed shape.
Through it all, Summit continues to stand strong, always advancing.
It Started With One Desk
Fiorella built the company the hard way, one placement and one handshake at a time. She learned the employers in her market personally. She knew which ones treated workers well and which didn’t, and she sent applicants accordingly.
That standard got handed down. Summit is now second-generation family-owned, with branches nationwide and a footprint that keeps widening. The scale has changed. The habit of understanding an operation before filling a role has not.
Uncertainty Never Set Our Pace
Every decade has handed our industry a reason for caution. Demand swings. Wage pressure. Facilities ramping up in one region while another slows down.
Summit has always taken a different route. When conditions get harder to predict, our answer has never been to do less. It has been to raise the standard, tighten the process, and give the operations relying on us fewer things to worry about.
That approach is why a plant can hand us a ramp-up in a market we entered recently and expect the same result they would get from a branch we have run for decades.
Growth Has Never Been Accidental
Every step into new service areas has met the same test first. Can we hold the standard there that we hold everywhere else? When the answer is yes, we move. When it is not yet, we build until it is.
Our continued growth has led us to also place talent whose credentials go beyond entry-level roles. Trade certifications. Technical experience. Specialized manufacturing backgrounds. Employers hiring in those categories need a different kind of search, and we bring proven experience to the table.
Serving this tier of professionals well means knowing which companies develop their people, which supervisors lead with intention, and what a credential is worth on a given floor. Forty years of learning operations from the ground up is what makes that possible.
Better on Both Sides of the Handshake
Every improvement we make has to answer to two audiences.
For employers, it means faster response times, sharper role definition, and recruiters who ask the right questions about operations before they send anyone through the door.
For job seekers, it means transparency about the position, a real conversation about where they want to go in their career, and access to great companies we have partnered with over four decades.
We are dedicated to always advancing workforce solutions by refining onboarding, tightening communication, and investing in the systems our branches rely on daily. These collective efforts continue to sharpen Summit’s execution and elevate staffing standards.
The People Who Made Four Decades Possible
All of this wouldn’t be possible without the associates who walk into a facility they had never seen before and make themselves indispensable. Celebrating forty years in business also belongs to the clients who called with a problem and trusted us to solve it through proven processes.
Every valued associate and client has shaped Summit, and you continue to help us climb to higher peaks. We thank you for trusting us with your futures and operations.
To the Next 40 Years in Business
Four decades in business is worth celebrating, and we have. It is also a vantage point, and from here the next stretch of the climb is already in view.
The work ahead looks familiar in the best way. More operations to learn. More regions to enter with a model that brings measurable results. More people to place into roles that change what their year looks like.
The standard Fiorella set in 1986 still applies. Do the work well, treat both sides of the handshake like it matters, and keep climbing.
Summit always advances.
